The Rutherford Construction formula is clear and consistent communication, superior attention to detail and only utilising trusted, experienced and fully qualified tradespeople to deliver excellence.
We strive to complete all projects on time and within budget, and to make the experience as stress free as possible for all clients. Outstanding craftmanship is an operating norm.
Sam Rutherford, a fully qualified builder and carpenter, started the company in 2012. Younger brother Jake, a qualified carpenter joined Sam soon after and their close relationship and passion for building is evident for all to see.
We believe communication is key, especially face to face.
Throughout the whole project from planning, during the build, and even post completion, we will be in regular contact with clients to keep them informed.
Finally while the project is important, we never lose sight of the fact that we’re in somebody’s home. We take great pride in maintaining a clean and safe work site and looking after the surrounding environment.

We had Rutherford Construction build us a large double brick extension comprising of 3 new bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry, kitchen, living room and alfresco area in 2018. Sam was very thorough with detail and communication throughout the entire process maintaining professionalism at all times.His entire team were very knowledgeable on the job requirements, helpful, friendly and always left the site neat and tidy.
